The Project
The transformation of the historic Ashley Road Depot in Haringey into a vibrant, low-carbon neighbourhood is a landmark sustainability project for the area.
Delivering 272 new homes alongside 4,000 square meters of green space, the development is engineered to achieve the highest levels of fabric energy efficiency. It will also boast several features to enhance energy performance - one being photovoltaic panels on the roof, which we are proud to have delivered for them.
This development has been designed on 3 plots, 2 of which surround beautiful courtyards. This design allowed for a large amount of roof space for us to work with to install the number of solar panels needed to meet the project's strict energy performance and carbon-reduction targets.
What We Delivered
To meet the development’s stringent energy efficiency targets, our team had to meticulously optimise every square metre of available roof space across the three plots. This required working with a complex variety of roof levels, pitches, and orientations.
By tailoring our approach to the unique architecture of each building, we successfully installed the maximum possible number of high-output solar panels.

Our Approach
Rather than opting for a generic installation, we carefully calculated the optimal pitch and angle for the arrays, overcoming shading challenges and maximising solar exposure throughout the day.
The result is a highly efficient, high-volume commercial PV system that fully capitalises on the site's footprint, ensuring it hits its peak performance goals for decades to come.
We also know that keeping a major development on track requires absolute synergy on-site. Our installers interface directly with project managers and contractors, fitting our workflow into the master construction program without causing bottlenecks.
